E9 PPCA: Prevention, Promotion of Carcinogenesis by Food

Why does meat intake increases colorectal cancer risk?
Processed meat intake and red meat are associated with colorectal cancer risk.
Our major goal is to understand the mechanisms explaining how meat can promote colon carcinogenesis.
But foods bear risks and benefits: we thus study dietary agents which may prevent cancers, particularly those that blocks production of promoting molecules in food or in the body.
The Chemoprevention Database gathers all published studies of agents and diets that prevent colorectal cancer.
